Who We Are

Vote16 Hilltowns is a grassroots organization dedicated to strengthening democracy by lowering the municipal voting age to 16 in Franklin, Berkshire and Hampshire Counties in Massachusetts. We work to convince towns to vote for a lower voting age and then pass their petitions in the MA Legislature. Currently we are working to pass the petitions of three towns that have already voted to lower their voting ages; Ashfield, Shelburne and Wendell, and next year we hope to bring our article before even more towns! Click below to find out why we're passionate about lowering the voting age, how it works, and how you can get involved.
